How to Clean a Glass Pipe with Vinegar At Home

White vinegar is an excellent, inexpensive cleaning tool for dirty glass pipes, thanks to its mild acidity. This property helps cut through the grease clogging and staining present in the smoking pipes.

Things You’ll Need

  • Distilled White Vinegar
  • Warm Water
  • A Large Reseable Plastic Bag
  • Pipe Cleaners

Directions

  1. Combine equal parts of vinegar and warm water in the resealable plastic bag.
  2. Add the glass pipe to the bag along with the vinegar mixture.
  3. After sealing the bag, gently shake it to dislodge the resin and debris present inside the glass pipe.
  4. Let the pipe soak in the solution for an hour or so.
  5. Once the waiting period is over, remove the pipe and scrub it with a cotton swab to eliminate the remaining buildup.
  6. In the end, wash the glass pipe under running tap water and leave it to air dry.

How to Clean a Glass Pipe with Vinegar and Baking Soda

Vinegar and Baking Soda

The combination of white vinegar and baking soda is a powerful cleaning solution that not only removes odor from glass pipes but also makes them squeaky clean. This is possible due to their fizzing action that removes deposits from the unreachable corners of the pipe.

Things You’ll Need

  • White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • A Large-Sized Bowl
  • Warm Water

Directions

  1. First, toss the dirty glass pipe in the bowl.
  2. Next, fill it with vinegar, ensuring the pipe is fully submerged.
  3. Now it’s time to sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda in the vinegar.
  4. Leave the glass pipe for half an hour or so.
  5. Finally, rinse the glass pipe properly with plain water and let it dry afterward.
  6. Now, your pipe must be clean. If it’s still dirty, repeat this hack.

Notes

  • Before trying any of the above glass pipe cleaning hacks, remove any excess ash or deposits with a cotton swab. Hold the pipe upside-down over a garbage can and tap its bottom so that the loose particles come out.
  • Make sure to clean your pipe at least once a week to keep it in the best condition.
