Natural Hair Wax DIY 1

Styling your hair with hair wax can give you Hollywood glam but at the same time, it can be tough on your pocket. If you struggle with loose hanging hair, hair wax is one of the best products that you can use to get a perfectly sleek look. Hair wax has replaced the earlier commonly used hair gels which lost their value because of the alcohol in them. There are numerous hair wax brands available in the market, but they are not always eco-friendly or economical and even though they are better than hair gels, they can still be harmful to your hair.

Why use natural homemade hair wax over commercial ones?

Commercial hair wax consists of certain ingredients such as Parabens, formaldehyde, and artificial fragrance which can harm the hair. Parabens can dry your hair and fade its natural color. Formaldehyde and artificial fragrance can cause skin irritation and lead to hair loss. These ingredients are used to give the wax a longer-lasting look and a longer shelf life without considering the harm that they cause. Besides, commercial hair wax is quite costly as compared to homemade ones.

We have some great DIY recipes for natural hair wax which are as effective as the commercial ones and can be beneficial to your hair as well in the long run. All these recipes can be used for as long as 2-3 months depending on your usage.
