How to Polish A Stainless Steel Sink | Shine Your Sink

Cleaning stainless steels can really be a tedious task as it requires lots of efforts and tricks. Unlike their name, they are really deceiving. Neither they can take care of themselves neither you get enough time to clean it up.

We have got some easy methods that you can consider to clean your sink in a matter of a few minutes. Plus point about these methods is that they are absolutely inexpensive and easy to do with homely ingredients.

  • Vinegar

In order to remove water spots from your sink, white vinegar is the nearest solution! Just dip your sponge in some white vinegar and scrub the water spots with it.

  • Alcohol

Alcohol is a great solution to remove rust from your stainless steel sink. Dip your sponge in enough alcohol and scrub the affected areas and it should possibly show results.

  • Baking Soda and Water

For this hack, mix 2 tbsp of baking soda with enough water so as to make a thick paste of it. Once done, give the sink a gentle once over and wash the residue with water. This will remove hairline scratches from the sink!

  • Baby Oil

Pour a few drops of baby oil on paper towel and clean your sink with the same. This will give the extra shine to your sink.

  • All-Purpose Flour

Toss a few tablespoons of all-purpose flour into your sink and with some pressure, clean it off with a soft cloth. This way you can polish your sink easily without many efforts.

  • Club Soda

Using club soda is another way to polish your sink, so if you lack all-purpose flour; use baking soda instead! Put the stopper in the sink and pour some club soda and gently clean the sink with a cloth. After done, run a basic washing cycle with water.

  • Tartar and Hydrogen Peroxide

In case of tough stains, use 3 parts of tartar and 1 part of hydrogen peroxide to make a cream of it. Buff it over the affected area and allow it to dry. Then clean the area using a wet sponge or cloth.
