How To Make Colored Mascara With Eyeshadow

Tools Required 

  • A clear mascara 
  • An eye shadow color of your choice (matte works best)
  • A mascara spoolie/brush
  • A saucer or small plate

Steps

Step 1: Take a pea-sized amount of clear mascara or lash mix onto your saucer or a small plate.

Step 2: Take an eye shadow of your choice and rub the dry brush in both directions – clockwise and anti-clockwise in a circular motion around the eyeshadow. The eyeshadow must become powdery. Now add this powdered eye shadow to the clear mascara on the same small plate.

Step 3: Mix the mixture thoroughly so that the powder particles are mixed with the gel properly. You can now use this mixture to apply on your eyelashes as a colored mascara. 

Precautions While Using Colored Mascara

It is essential to keep the layers of mascara relatively thin, or it may lead to a clumpy lash. However, suppose still, the lashes get clumpy. In that case, one can use a separate spoolie to get the separation, or if a spoolie is not available, you can also use a lash comb to separate the lashes.

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp of aloe vera gel
  • 1 tsp coconut oil 
  • 1 tsp shea butter
  • 1½ tsp beeswax
  • 1-2 capsules of activated charcoal

Recipe

Step 1: Take a small saucepan, place aloe vera gel, coconut oil, Shea butter, and beeswax. Heat all the ingredients until they melt completely.

Step 2: In this melted liquid, mix the activated charcoal and remove it from the flame.

Step 3: Allow the mixture to cool a bit and place it in a plastic bag. Move all the content in one corner and cut a hole.

Step 4: Take a sterilized mascara tube and empty the ingredients of the plastic bag into it. Your natural mascara is now ready!
