Cleaning Carpet

Your carpet in the hallway is open to catch much more pollens that might prove unhealthy to your family’s health. That’s why it is necessary to clean the carpet on a regular basis to eliminate any underlying growth of bacterias. Also, if you don’t clean your carpets for a prolonged time, it might trigger the growth of molds beneath it. Mold is a fungus that grows in an environment that has moisture and the beneficial bacterias that further its growth.

However, if you opt to use a commercial carpet cleaner it might as well degrade your health due to its toxic composition. Commercial cleaners are composed of harmful chemicals and toxins that when inhaled can trigger sickness in humans. Some common objectionable things that you may find in a carpet are:

  • Dust Mites
  • Mold Spores
  • Pet Hair
  • Dead Skin Cells
  • Insect Feces
  • Other harmful particles

All these particles can lead to many health issues linked to respiratory issues, allergies, and even it can cause health threats in pets too. This is because any dirty component in and around the house are home to unhealthy bacterias and viruses. If you want to keep these health threats at bay, the foremost thing is to maintain the cleanliness of the carpet. One option is to use a hairdryer to steam the carpet as the high temperature is effective in killing the viruses lodged in the fibers. Otherwise, you can follow this homemade carpet cleaning solution with hydrogen peroxide as an alternative to the heat method.
