Cucumber Oil for Dark Circles1

Accumulation of blood, genetic predisposition, and swelling are a few reasons that cause the dark circles under the eyes. The delicate layer of skin under the eyes also reflect the earliest signs of stress, lack of a proper diet, and sleep.
The oil is known for its skin healing and therapeutic properties. Cucumber oil thus is an ideal product to reduce your dark circles. Apart from the recommended dose of beauty sleep, substitutes like cucumber oil will help heal the under-eye skin and dark circles.

The oleic acid present in cucumber oil is a part of the Omega 6 family. The antioxidant properties of oleic acid and compounds alpha-tocopherol and gamma (γ) tocopherol in the oil prevents the appearance of fine lines and helps improve the blood circulation around the eyes. The acid and the compounds are an excellent source of treatment for puffy eyes and dark circles as they strengthen the cells.

The astringent properties of the cucumber seed oil lighten the dark circles and the skin when applied regularly. The oil is also anti-inflammatory. These properties make the oil extraordinarily moisturizing and fast-absorbing. This helps in soothing the skin and lightening the dark circles. Apart from these, the cucumber seed oil is rich in phosphorous, zinc, iron, magnesium, and Vitamins C, B2, B3, B5, and B6. This combination of natural compounds makes the oil a robust healing base for a firmer, brighter, and more supple skin.

How to use cucumber oil for dark circles

You can use cucumber seed oil in any manner for the dark circles. Due to its highly porous nature, the oil does not clog the pores and adds on to issues like acne and blemishes. You can use the oil as is, mix it with a carrier oil (like grapeseed, argan, castor) or mix it in different under-eye recipes.
