Cleaning Hacks Using White Wine Vinegar

1. Cleaning the Oven

For cleaning the oven, take half a glass of water and add five tablespoons of white wine vinegar. Put it in the oven and set it to 30 seconds at 180°C. Let the oven come to bearable heat temperature and then wipe the oven using a cloth. This will leave the oven with a clean shine on it!

2. Coffee Maker 

Take 2:1 proportion of lukewarm water and white wine vinegar in a cup and pour it into the tank of the coffee maker. Now, turn your coffee maker on as you would have to make a fresh cup of coffee. Once done, take out the water and clean the tank with tap water.

3. Cleaning Dishwasher

Remove any gunk from the dishwasher filter and drain. Put 250 ml of white wine vinegar in a dishwasher-proof container on the top rack of the machine, and run it on a high-temperature cycle. Once done, repeat another process without vinegar or detergent. The other cycle will help in rinsing the dishwasher. 

4. Cleaning Fridge

Take a gallon of warm water and add 2 cups of white wine vinegar to it. Use this mixture to clean the refrigerator with a soft cloth. Make sure to wipe everything inside the fridge, including the shelves, walls, and packaging.

5. Washing Fruits and Vegetables

Take three portions of water and one portion of white wine vinegar and put the mixture in a spray bottle. Clean the vegetable and fruits using this mixture and rinse them with water afterwards.

6. Getting Rid of Kitchen Smells 

Take a saucepan and add the mixture of water and white wine vinegar to it. Bring it to a boil and let it be on the flame for 15 minutes to get rid of any nasty odor. 

7. Cleaning Washing Machine

Add two cups of white wine vinegar into the detergent compartment. Run a hot cycle of the washing machine to freshen it up. This will not only clean the washing machine but also leave a fresh odor.

8. Cleaning the Furniture

For removing the stains and marks from the furniture, rub them with a cotton cloth moistened with white wine vinegar. However, do a path test first to see if the color fades from the furniture and vinegar might react with certain material.

9. Cleaning the Oxidized Objects

White wine vinegar is effective against the oxidation of objects. Leave the oxidized objects immersed in vinegar for about two days. Wait until it loses its strength and wipe them clean with a clean cloth.

10. Cleaning Mirrors and Windows

Take a spray bottle with half vinegar and half water. Using this mixture, wipe the windows and mirrors clean using a lint-free cloth.

  • Hardwood Floorings 
  • Electronic Items like computers, laptops, and TVs
  • Stone surfaces like slate tile floor and granite countertop
  • Egg spills – as it may cause the eggs to thicken and become difficult to remove.
